I bought this bike as my mum had an earlier version of it and I loved the upright cycling position. Within a week the chain came off and in the past 7 months I have had to return it to the Raleigh shop around7-8 times. The mudguards rattle, the basket fittings fell off and the mudguards are flimsy, but worse still the metal accessories are thin, very poor quality and do not hold the bike together sufficiently as it rattles! The shop are fed up and have been unhelpful because they cannot resolve the problem for more than a few days. Do not receommend this bike. The sturdier earlier version is very robust so clearly Raleigh have cut corners on quality without cutting cost. Such a shame. It won't last very long as it cannot withstand normal wear and tear! I only cycle on the roads and not over pot holes or kerbs.
